Patricia Kay (Callison) Queen

Patricia K. Queen, 85, of Eldon passed away Tuesday, February 10, 2026, at Miller County Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Tuscumbia, MO, succumbing to complications after a fall at her home.   

Pat was born on October 14, 1940, in Eldon, Missouri, the daughter of Jewell and Helen (Stickney) Callison.  Pat called Eldon home her entire life and cherished the 63 years she spent in the house she loved.

In 1960, Pat married her first husband, Donald W. Weeks.  Donald preceded her in death in June 1972.  In May 1977, she married David G. Queen.

As a teenager, she spent her summers performing in the Lake of the Ozarks Water Ski Show, where her enthusiasm and talent brought smiles to audiences throughout the area.

Pat worked for several years as an elementary school secretary with the School of the Osage.  Following her calling to care for others, she later returned to college and became a registered nurse, devoting many years to nursing.  Retiring from SSM St. Mary’s Hospital, Jefferson City, as House Administrator.  Pat provided dedicated care to her patients and served as a mentor to many within the nursing community.

An accomplished hand quilter, Pat created many beautiful quilts especially for her great-grandchildren and enjoyed sewing and crafting throughout her life.  Her creativity and attention to detail were reflected in everything she made.

After her retirement, Pat continued to serve others as a regular volunteer with the Eldon Senior Center.

Pat will be remembered for her kind spirit, genuine compassion, and respect for everyone she met.  She was known for never meeting a stranger and for teaching her family the importance of kindness and acceptance.

Survivors include, daughter, Beth (Steve) Eidson, Lake Ozark, MO, son, Walker Weeks, St. Louis; and Melissa Queen (Kevin) Gidden, Leadwood, MO; Grandchildren, Katie (Cody) Haerther, Nixa, MO; Matthew (Laura) Clearwater, FL; Kaleb (fiancée Valerie Hurt) Weeks, St. Charles, MO; Sheranity (fiancé Chris Sutton) and Shayla Gidden, Leadwood, MO.  Great-grandchildren, Kane, Cash, and Charlee Anne Haerther, and Whitney Eidson.  Pat was preceded in death by her husband David G. Queen; her sister, Nancy (George) Neimeyer; and her parents.

Visitation will be held at Eldon First Christian Church, Eldon, MO, on Sunday, February 15, 2026, from 1:30 PM – 3:00 PM with Rev. Dr. William Foglesong officiating with the Funeral Service beginning at 3:00 PM.  Burial will follow at Eldon City Cemetery, Eldon, MO. 

Memorials contributions may be made to the Eldon First Christian Church in memory of Patricia K. Queen.
